Wellston Oklahoma Route 66 Revitalization Grant

The Oklahoma Route 66 Commissioners awarded the Town of Wellston the Oklahoma Route 66 Revitalization Grant on August 15, 2024. Congratulations to the Town of Wellston. The Wellston Route 66 Splashpad and Majestic Buffalo will bring Route 66 travelers down the original Route 66 (now Route 66B) into Wellston for a family-friendly opportunity to learn about the town's history.

Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program – 2024

Fire safety grants fund critically needed resources to equip and train emergency personnel, enhance efficiencies, and support community resilience. Since 2001, AFG has helped firefighters and other first responders obtain the necessary resources to protect the public and emergency personnel from fire and related hazards.

The Wellston Fire Department, with the support of the Town of Wellston Board Members, has submitted two AFG applications: one for a Mini-Pumper Quick-Attach vehicle and a Tanker/Tender vehicle and one for P-25 Mobile Communication Radios.
